Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon is a country located in South Asia. Gulf of Mannar is the separation point between Sri Lanka and India. It is an island country separated by the Gulf of Mannar, Palk Strait (a narrowest point) from India. 3. Kandy : - Kandy is located in Sinhala in the center of Sri Lanka. Tea plantations can be seen on the hillside of Kandy. This city is one of the major scenic beauties in Sri Lanka and have both the tourist as well as religious places. As it is a tourist place so, large number of shops are there contain the jewelries and traditional paintings or sculptures. One can visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Ceylon Tea Museum, Natha Devalaya, Vishnu Devalaya, Temple of the sacred tooth relic, Lanktilake Temple, etc. So, this is the right place to visit in Sri Lanka and favored by most of the people.

4. Nuwara Eliya : - It is a cool town located approximately 6200 ft above the sea level in the mid area of the huge tea plantations in the central highlands. Its pleasant climate is just similar to that of Britain’s, due to this sometimes it's called as “Little England”.  This town is famous for its race course and world renowned golf club. Salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery, make it a hard to imagine place. Other places one can see includes Pony rides, Trout Streams, Victoria Park and Boating on Lake Gregory. Also, enjoy unique bird watching as it is home to endangered and endemic species of bird life.

5. Jaffna : - Jaffna is an ancient port city situated in the northernmost region of Sri Lanka. It is also the driest place in the country. Tamil culture still thrives in this town. The flat Jaffna Peninsula is almost an island, though attached to the mainland by just a strip of sand popularly called Elephant Pass. Percolate the Charm of Largest Fountain in Dubai

Dubai, a well known country by everyone, popular for its highest, largest, longest, First in the whole world. One of the highest, largest and the first things of Dubai is its largest Fountain famous all across the globe. Dubai’s Fountain is the largest fountain in the world set on a manmade Lake Burj Khalifa. It is a popular tourist place in Dubai.

The contract of this fountain was given to a California based company-WET Design which designed it exquisitely at a cost of USD 218 million.  It is 275 m high that one can see it from 20 miles away. It is the brightest point illuminated on earth when seen from the sky that spot in the middle east. It was inaugurated on 26 October 2008. Testing of the fountain began in February 2009, and then was officially inaugurated on 8th May 2009 along with the official opening ceremony of the largest “Dubai Mall”. The length of this fountain was increased to 275 m after some time.

This large and unique fountain is illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors. This fountain can spray approximately 22,000 gallons of water in the air at a time and shoots up to 500 ft into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. It waters the air in many different combinations and patterns.

This Fountain contains many high-pressure water jets and shooters that shoots the water even under more pressure up to 240 feet in the air and some extreme shooters are also there that shoots the water under the most pressured up to 500 ft. Shooters create a loud “boom” noise after the water is ejected. The main or super shooters use least of time like on the special occasions as it takes a lot time to build up enough pressure and energy to shoot water to such a great height in the air.

One of the best things that exhilarate anyone after seeing this fountain is its dance performance. It dances on the national and famous songs like Sama Dubai, Baba Yetu, Shik Shak Shok, In Shed An Aldar, etc.  The dance performance takes place at 1.00 pm and at 1.30 pm as well as every 30 minutes from 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays, and from 6pm to 11pm on weekends.

One can also enjoy a boat ride on the Burj Lake and a breathtaking view of Dubai Fountain. Through this ride, you will also be able to get a closer look of the famous tallest tower of the World named “Burj Khalifa” and thus make it a one time experience of your life.

Enjoy the Cool Retreat of Penang Hill

Penang, a turtle shaped island is an adorable place in Malaysia. It is often known by the locals as well as foreigners as “The Pearl of the Orient”.  This place attracts by most of the tourists every year. Vibrant culture, rich heritage, multicultural society, high hills, nature parks, pristine beaches, shopping, cuisines and many more things make it a good place to visit. It is a right and worth visiting place.


For enjoying the cool retreat and refreshing air, panoramic views of the island or the Georgetown city, Penang hill is the best location. It is located at an elevation of more than 2000 feet from the sea level. By taking 30-minute cable car ride up Penang Hill from the funicular station in Air Itam or trek up the hill via the Botanic Gardens make the journey more graceful. One can also take the route of jeep track. Penang hill comprising a group of peaks including Strawberry Hill, Halliburton’s Hill, Flagstaff Hill, Government Hill, Tiger Hill and Western Hill. At these pit stops, the view of the island is visible to hikers who are able to get some water and tea prepared by the locals stationed on the hill.


After reaching at the top of the hill, there is a 32 counder cannon having rich historical value. It weighs about 2.75 tons. The muzzle velocity of a gun powder charged by it is 1600 ft per second. It was most probably used in 18th and 19th century. Basically, it was used to warn the pirates present in or around the hills.  From historical point of view, it is a good place as many bungalows highlighting a coalescence of architecture from British colonial to Asian and Modern architecture is available there.
